Independence Day 2011

Our Independence Day celebrations started last Friday night. My family joined us at the state capitol building for Movies Under the Stars.

The movie: Sandlot.

Even though we'd all seen it about a thousand times, it was still fun to just be together huddled under blankets at an outdoor movie.

Our celebration continued on Sunday in Coalville with a BBQ, fireworks, 'golf' for the guys, and chatting for the women.

It was so nice to just relax. Care free. The weather was perfect and none of us had a care in the world.

I was kind enough to let James spend $5 on fireworks this year (I'm a mean wife, I know). So when it was dark enough, we enjoyed sparklers, smoke bombs, and a few flowers. Good entertainment hun!

James and Haley decided to be adventerous and sleep on the tramp. Me? I'm too large and uncomfortable to take part in that. Maybe next time. But they enjoyed themselves.

Breakfast was sour dough pancakes (the best!) and eggs. It doesn't get any better than that! Thank you mom for the pancakes and thank you dad for the eggs.

Followed by games of ladder golf and horse shoes.

Monday night we headed to Clinton to enjoy another BBQ and the Kaysville fireworks.

They really are awesome. Another impressive year.

We had such a great weekend, it was hard to see it end. James headed back to work and I have lots to do before this baby comes.

We love our country.

We appreciate our freedom, and we love spending time with family.
